A.C. Moore The A.C. Moore Teacher Discount
Program grants educators a discount card for in-store purchases, including home
schoolers. Mail a copy showing proof of your status to A.C. Moore to sign up.

Academic
Superstore Academic Superstore is another online software outlet that
sells a slew of products for up to 85-percent off. Discounts are available
year-round with proof of employment as a teacher.
Adobe
Shop Order from Adobe Education Store and receive
25- to 75-percent off all software, including bundles and suites. Adobe
requires proof of employment as an educator before applying the discount. Scan

This deal cannot be found on the web. But it has been said that teachers can get
movie tickets for $6.50 each after the second weekend of a film’s release. Don’t
forget that Sam’s Club and Costco also are great avenues for movie
discounts. The same goes for Groupon and
LivingSocial.

offers discounts to teachers. Sign up for their teacher program and receive 20% off
your first purchase plus receive advance notice on upcoming sales. plus
enjoy in-store teacher appreciation nights.

Get online discounts on computers, software, and select
third party products. These discounts are also available to college students.
Banana Republic Banana Republic offers a 10-percent off deal
to any teacher with a valid school ID. Another caveat fiend, it's only good at

Ben Franklin Crafts Tuesday is the new Friday at Ben Franklin crafts, an online craft store with kiosks in supermarkets and local pharmacies across the nation. Shop on Tuesday and take 10-percent off all purchases. Be sure to have you school ID on hand.

Teacher Identity Card
This card costs $25 a year, but this price gives you
discounts around the world for travel, purchases, and services for teachers,
including $7 off your $70 purchase at Target.com, 15% off at Amtrak, and more.
Izzit.org Teachers are human, too, meaning just like
every human they were born on a particular day. Join Izzit.org and receive one
free educational DVD on your birthday. The company specializes in videos for
older students, so only teachers of grades 6-12 can apply.

Save up to 50% on regular subscription rates when you
subscribe to a magazine using your school’s name and address.
Michaels Stores has a special program for
teachers. Join the Knack Faculty and they will send you ideas to use in the
classroom. Their welcome letter will include a coupon for
40% off an item.
Office Depot has a Star Teacher program. They offer 10% purchases plus a special
event that includes a free breakfast and supplies. You must register to find
out when your store's event is being held.
Office Max Join
the OfficeMax MaxPerks Rewards for Teachers program to earn a $10 reward for
every $75 you spend on qualified purchases. They also have several items
available each week that are free or close-to-free after MaxPerks Rewards.
PBS Shop PBS is one of the few book and media outlets to offer an online discount
to teachers. Register for the PBS Teachers Program to take 10-percent off your
first purchase through the store.
Pizza Hut Show your school ID for discounts of 10- to
20-percent off any meal. I don’t really think my local Pizza Hut would do
this. Seems unadvertised but worth a
try.
Scholastic
is sending out samples of classroom
magazines like Scope, Science World, and Clifford the Big Red Dog. There is a
bunch to choose from in all grade levels. They look like they will make great
reading materials for the classroom. Check out the dollar
section of their website for some great bargains!
Sprint When I switched cell phones carriers they
gave me a discount of about 10% when showing my school ID badge. I imagine their competitors might do the same
if asked.
Staples is gearing up for the annual teacher appreciation day. Each store will be giving out free
gifts to the first 200 teachers. Check out the website for your store's date. Smilemakers.com is a
division of Staples. They sell all types of classroom incentives. Join the teachers club and receive discounts and points towards free
merchandise.
Union Memberships
If you’re a union member, check out online discounts at your
union’s website to see if you get these or any other discounts. Education Minnesota
and NEA (National Education Association) offer discounts on anything from
appliances to haircuts to car rentals and more.
I have heard some really good comments about going there for appliance
discounts!
Verizon Just ask, especially if you are a new sign up
for their service.
Sony Sony
keeps a well-trained cornea on teachers through its aptly-named Eye on
Education Program. Discounts on projectors and flat-panel displays vary when
you register and buy through the program portal, but most lie in the 5- to 10-
percent off range.
Software Express
The online outlet Software Express grants discounts of up to 75 percent on a
host of programs, including Adobe, McAfee and Symantec. Submit copies of your
valid school ID and state driver's license to Customer Service before
completing your order.
