Here in the Northeast we have had a blizzard snowfall with 24-30 inches and more coming Tuesday.  This is in additon to the 5  inches or so still on the ground from previous!  Electric has blinked in an out here allowing for a spotty connection.

But since it is Superbowl day and we have cabin fever, we are thinking pizza!

This is a great deal already with any size, crust and topping including all speciality pizzas!  Make it sweeter by logging in and ordering on line for pick up or delivery and get 20% off.  It does take a while to get signed in and to get the order to go through on-line so do not wait till the last minute.

• Once a year Dennys has a promotional give a way with their Grand Slam Breakfast  This year it is Tuesday Feb 9, 2010 from 6am-2pm.  While much of the East Coast will be snowed in, the men and women that work in snow removal will greatly benefit!  No coupon necessary!  Just walk in!

We tried this the other year and there was a line out the door!  It was worth trying because they gave us a valuable coupon booklet for future meals when we decided not to wait.

So several of us got an igoogle.com personal startup page made last week. You can try to make yours at home-since we may be there for a while.

Virginia forecast is 16-24 inches at the least starting at noon on Feb. 5, 2010!

Instead of your "home page" being shentel.net or shenandoah.com you might choose to make it http://www.igoogle.com/ (you don't have too- I just type mine in all the time) Once you create an account-customize the colors on the igoogle page then try some of the add ons.

I have the google calendar (which I sync to my blackberry), moon phases (cause as a teacher it is good to have the heads up), the weather app, and the tvguide app. Oh yes, I also have the facebook app!

So try to learn something new over these snow days! igoogle or facebook will bring you up to speed with modern computing methods.

And for my advanced igoogle users- try subscribing to these popular money saving/interesting blogs. Remember to look for the orange icon on the blogs that looks like radio signals or sound waves. This is RSS feed and you choose google and add to my google page. You will be surprised how easy it is! Everytime you go to igoogle you will see what has recently happened on the blogs-ALL ON ONE PAGE!
